July and Early August projects

Hello! I'm so happy that it's Friday evening and the weekend has started! Work has been a bit busier the last couple of weeks with the new semester starting up, but I would rather be busy than not.

I would like to share my last card for July and a fun project for the beginning of August so that I can share some of the things that I did in August and hopefully get back on track with posting in a more timely manner!!!

This is the card that I made for my brother for his birthday.

Stamp: Alaska Themed set from Peddler's Boss
Ink: Stazon Jet Timber Brown, VM Sahara Sand and VM Jumbo Java
Paper: Bazzill Mud Pie, DCWV Ivory, and Provo Craft blue splattered paper
Accessories: Prisma color pencils, gamsol, nesties, scor-pal, ATG

Next up is a purse that I made for my daughter. We had fun choosing the fabrics for it in one of our local quilt stores. The pattern is by Melly & Me and it was very easy to put together. The instructions are great! I did make an adjustment to the purse that wasn't included in the pattern. My daughter asked if it would be possible for me to add pockets inside of the purse, and that's what I did. I made 2 pockets for each side. It turned out really cute. I picked up the buttons for it in a different quilt store.

Here's the front and back:I have a couple of projects lined out for myself for this weekend. I am happy that it's a 3-day weekend! I will also be going to the fair with a friend on Monday since we both have the day off.

Thank you for stopping by and Take care!
