Co-Worker Birthday Card

Hello and Happy Friday!

I have another birthday card to share with you.

This is for a male co-worker. I don't make very many cards for men. So when I was asked to make one, I sort of dreaded it, but I think that it turned out fairly well. At least my co-workers liked it when they signed it. I hope he likes it!

Here is the recipe for it:

Stamp: PTI Big & Bold Wishes
Ink: VersaMagic Sahara Sand
Paper: DCWV Latte, Bazzill Mud Pie
Accessories: Brown satin ribbon, ATG, Rotary Cutter/Mat, Nesties, Cuttlebug, corner rounder punch, hemp twine

Thank you for stopping by!

I have quite a full weekend coming up with a lot of fun things! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

This weekend I'm planning on going to a new pastry shop that recently opened up here in town! Can't wait!

Birthday Card for a Friend

Hello!

Things have been pretty busy and up in the air for the last several months, almost all good things though!!!

This will be a quick post tonight, just to share a birthday card I made for a friend of mine whose birthday is today! Happy Birthday Kathleen!

I stamped the Impression Obsession Garden Cake with JetBlack Stazon, let it dry and colored it with my Prisma Pencils. No Gamsol! (Karen Lockhart would be proud of me!!)

I sponged Aegean Blue Versamagic and Thatched Straw Versamagic around the edges of the image, leaving a white space right next to the image. I used a flower punch to punch the corners.

I stamped a little flower from Heidi Grace using Versamark on the Bazzill Raindrop card base. Terribly difficult to see in the photo. The dp is from Basic Grey, Wiseteria (6x6) pad.

Little Twinkles were glued on the flowers using a Zig 2 way glue pen.

That's about it.

Thank you for stopping by!

Stamp: Impression Obsession Garden Cake
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Versa Magic Aegean Blue and Thatched Straw
Paper: Bazzill Raindrop, Basic Grey Wisteria

July and Early August projects

Hello! I'm so happy that it's Friday evening and the weekend has started! Work has been a bit busier the last couple of weeks with the new semester starting up, but I would rather be busy than not.

I would like to share my last card for July and a fun project for the beginning of August so that I can share some of the things that I did in August and hopefully get back on track with posting in a more timely manner!!!

This is the card that I made for my brother for his birthday.

Stamp: Alaska Themed set from Peddler's Boss
Ink: Stazon Jet Timber Brown, VM Sahara Sand and VM Jumbo Java
Paper: Bazzill Mud Pie, DCWV Ivory, and Provo Craft blue splattered paper
Accessories: Prisma color pencils, gamsol, nesties, scor-pal, ATG

Next up is a purse that I made for my daughter. We had fun choosing the fabrics for it in one of our local quilt stores. The pattern is by Melly & Me and it was very easy to put together. The instructions are great! I did make an adjustment to the purse that wasn't included in the pattern. My daughter asked if it would be possible for me to add pockets inside of the purse, and that's what I did. I made 2 pockets for each side. It turned out really cute. I picked up the buttons for it in a different quilt store.

Here's the front and back:I have a couple of projects lined out for myself for this weekend. I am happy that it's a 3-day weekend! I will also be going to the fair with a friend on Monday since we both have the day off.

Thank you for stopping by and Take care!
