A New Addition to Our Family!

Hello Everyone! Just a quick post to let you know that we've adopted a beautiful young dog into our family from the Alaska SPCA. Her name is Lily and we've been told that she is part Black Lab and part English Greyhound, and possibly part Weimaraner. Lily is about a year old and very well behaved. The cats aren't too sure about the newcomer, but I think that things will work out just fine.

Happy Sunday!

Hi! It’s Sunday evening and here is a card I put together a couple of days ago.

Stamps: A+muse long grass and mini flower and just a note from Anna Wight’s Sweet Expressions

Paper: SU!, GP white, DCWV

Ink: Memento Danube blue, bamboo green

Ribbon: misc from Michael's

Accessories: cuttle bug, nestabilities, stickles

We’ve had a pretty nice weekend weather wise. I was fortunate to get out and ride my bike this afternoon.

Now I’m getting ready for the work and the big weekend! Hope you have a great week!

Hi! Hope that everyone had a good day and that your weekend is off to a good start!

I have a new card for you today. A friend asked for a sympathy card for her and this is it.

I stamped the flower, Paradise by Heidi Grace onto tan cardstock by Paper Co, three times, without re-inking, with Versamagic Jumbo Java. The flower has a little crystal bling (Twinkles from Taylored Expressions) in the center. Lavender cardstock is by Paper Co and DP is Poppyfinch by Memory Box. Card base is Mud Pie by Bazzill. I swiped the edges of each panel with Jumbo Java and added some stitching to each panel.

My friend was very pleased with it. I’m also happy with how it turned out.

One of my most recent cards

This is a card I made for a special someone who recently started a new job.

The stamp is Frolic by Penny Black.

The image was stamped onto GP white twice with Stazon Jet Black. I colored Frolic with Prisma colored pencils and blended them with gamsol.

I cut the image out using square nestabilities die and left it on to use as a template and sponged Versamagic Aspen Mist for the sky and a combination of Versamagic Sahara Sand and Jumbo Java for the ground. I sponged a bit of Versamagic Gingerbread along the edges. I framed Frolic using a larger scalloped square nestabilities die. The second image of the flowers and butterflies were embellished with a couple of different colors of Stickles and popped up for depth. The second set of paws are also popped up for added dimension. The edges of the dp were edged in sahara sand. I did some stitching on the card to add a bit more dimension. The dp paper is by DCWV and the base of the card is Guacamole by Bazzill.
